Hey ya’ll, glad you decided to come visit my corner today!
My name is Vanessa, but those who know me call me Vany.
I started this journey for the sole purpose of weight loss. I gained a lot of weight in 2014 (mostly because of my bad eating habits, and uncontrollable cravings for sweets). After a major car crash I became unable to workout for a while, so It got worse. When I got back in the game, I just found myself enjoying the process, which was pretty unexpected so I decided to do more than just the basics.
Before I go any further, here is my disclaimer: “This blog is only my online fitness diary. By no means am I a fitness expert. I learned what I know through trials and error and also research. Each day I learn something new. My sole purpose for putting this blog together is to hold myself accountable, and be proud of the progress I’ve made and not giving up even when I wanted to years down the road”.
I might inspire some along the way, who knows 🙂
I started with strength training. I hired a personal trainer to teach me how to use the machines at the gym. I’m sure you know they can be quite intimidating. I also got curious about running, so I started practicing. I do some biking as well on my spare time (usually when my legs are too sore from running). Now I want to learn Yoga. So you’ll probably see as I progress in that department as well. I do find Yoga quite challenging, but I do love a challenge.
