I’ve been blessed these past weeks to enjoy the fruits of my labor. I’m so grateful for that. Last week I spent the weekend in Georgia with one of my best girlfriends. This weekend I took a drive down the Keys with my significant other who’s also one of my favorite people in the world to be around.
Although this trip was short, but it was nothing short of amazing. We drove Thursday night after work and came back Saturday afternoon.
We made the most out of our quick getaway. We also met some beautiful souls along the way. My ultimate favorite was parasailing in Islamorada. At first, I was scared because we all know I’m afraid of heights. As afraid as I am at times, I just like to push my limits. I did just that once again. All the conditions were perfect: sunny day, lightly chilly (all forgotten with the adrenaline rush I experienced once I took off), clear waters, great captain, and of course awesome company. We went up 1000 feet in the air. Take off was the scary part (not as scary as I anticipated). Once we made it up, it was all fine. I must say, there is something magical about feeling on top of the world and admiring the wonders of God from such a high altitude. We saw what we thought was a baby shark. It could’ve been just a fish, lol; but saying we saw a baby shark sounds a lot more interesting 🙂
I’m happy I can now cross parasailing off my bucket list. One other fun activity was the sunset cruise we took later on that day with the same crew. I saw one of the most beautiful sunsets ever and the water was so peaceful. I am an island girl at heart and definitely enjoy the salt life.
Now I can’t wait for my next adventure, hopefully it is as fun and special as spending time in the Florida Keys.
Enjoy a visual of my time there 🙂 Till next time friends!
