After a shitty week, Tonight I finally was able to push myself to get back out there for a run. Sundays are not usually run days for me, especially not a Sunday night. But yesterday I was unable to go for my regular run because sadly I woke up tired and with a migraine since I decided to drink the night before. The whole week prior, because of the regular female problems and being so mentally tired, I just could not bring myself to even get out of bed in time for work, let alone run which made me very disappointed. So I wanted to get back on track and start my week off right…
I wanted to go for a long run this morning, but the pouring rain stopped me. Instead I enjoyed breakfast in bed, and a few hours nap to recoup from the previous week. I also had company over last night which means I woke up super tired.
Good thing it all worked out. When I woke up around 4 pm feeling refreshed. The rain had stopped and the Skies were clear. I threw on my running gear and went for a sunset run. I managed to push myself to run for 3.59 miles with an average pace of 12:40 mn/m. I also broke a personal record. I ran my fastest mile: 11:28 mn/mile, the very first mile. Needless to say I am super proud and I’m very happy I was able to lace up my shoes and get out there to run although I don’t like being out in the dark alone.
Have you fallen off track lately? Don’t let it define you. If you’re tired it’s ok, listen to your body and rest, but don’t stop. Get back on your feet once you feel rested. What are you doing to get back on track? Remember, just do it. Don’t allow yourself to get comfortable and lazy. It’s so easy to go back to old habits. Those bad habits don’t work, so give yourself a push and get back to what works.
Go be fabulous! Just do it!
