Last night before heading to bed as I’m going through my phone checking my emails, I came across an email from Under Armour with an interesting article about changing your Sports Bra. I was very surprised as I was going through the article.
I’ve kept Sports bras for years. To me if they still fit and look good, I will still use them. Looks like this is not good practice. My most recent sports bras were purchased about a year ago. That’s when I realized I busting out of the old ones and needed bigger cup size due to tremendous weight gain. Using your sports bras over 6 months is not recommended. According to Under Armour you should change your sports bra every 3 to 6 months depending on the intensity of your workouts. In my case, it seems I should have new sports bras ever 3 months. I run on a regular basis and also practice other forms of physical activities.
From a financial standpoint this is crazy to me since each bra I own cost over $50. I usually keep at least 5 sports bras at time to last me through the week.
I love the victoria’s secret maximum support knockout bras. They provide just the right amount of support I need for all my workouts. When I discovered them, it was a dream come true. Back then I had to double up on bras when exercising. I always used a regular bra, the topped it with a sports bra. Now I only use one, but convenience comes with a price.
