It did not go as planned, but that was expected. Besides moving boxes around the past couple of weeks, I have not had any physical activity whatsoever.
What I wanted to be a
run ended up being a walk. Although I’m a bit disappointed, I’m not too mad about it. I figure starting over requires starting somewhat slow and easy. So, slow ad easy is what I’ll do.
I knew after spending over a month not working out, getting back in the game would be hard. I just never thought it would be so challenging to get back to my regular routine. After more than a month hiatus and over 5 pounds gain I find myself making up every excuse in the book not to get back to my fitness routine. What used to be normal to me seems to be unattainable now.
Saturday was for me to get my feet wet and have an idea of my fitness level (not all that good apparently). Tomorrow is the start of a new chapter. I have a new training plan ready to go. I will be training for 10k run. I think it’s time to push my limits some more. My training tomorrow starts with 2 mile easy run.
My alarm is set for 6:30 am so I can beat the heat. Now I just pray to God that I actually make it out of bed and get back to my routine.
Wish me luck guys!
