As you all probably know by now from my previous posts, I have been on a path to a healthier and better me. It all started in 2015 after gaining tons of weight and getting into a car accident. I’ve been working out at the gym, running and even dabbed in yoga a little bit.
It’s all been going well but my diet still wasn’t up to par. I started watching what I ate, and made some good adjustments. Apparently not good enough. No matter what I’ve done, I seem to still be carrying around belly fat and love handles and back fat. I hate it. I’ve counted calories, watched my carb intake etc… Still wasn’t getting it. This time around, I hope that I’m finally figuring it out. The secret which is not a real secret is “EATING CLEAN”.
Have you heard the term: “You can’t outwork a bad diet”? Well it’s true! It really did not matter how many calories I burned at the gym, and how often I ran, the fat just never really seemed to melt. The good news is, I just committed to doing this 28 days clean eating challenge from Ladydork’s new eBook found on her website and I’m very excited about the future. I learned that what I consume is directly related to the way I look. A bad diet will get me extra rolls on my body that I don’ like. A clean diet will help me get lean while still keeping my curves. You still want to exercise of course. Bottom line is exercise without eating clean won’t get you the results you’re looking for.
I’m glad to say that today is my 4th day on this eating plan, and I can’t wait to see my transformation at the end of these 28 days. The whole idea is to be gluten free and diary free within these 28 days and also keep sugar and sodium intake to a very minimum. The latter must me the hardest part for me. I usually consume a lot of salt. Now I’m retraining myself to be normal. No alcoholic beverages can be consumed. I also have to drink 2 liters of water per day. This is the easiest part. I carry with me at all time a 24 oz cup of water that I infuse with fruits, and refill throughout the day (about 4-5 times which is more than the 2 liters of water recommended). What I also like about this challenge, it’s not a fad diet, it’s a lifestyle change. I believe I can stick to it past the 28 days.
I’m excited to know that there is something that I can do that is not a crazy diet or cleanse to really help me lose my belly fat and my love handles. I will keep you guys posted as to my progress and will also share my before and after pictures with you so you can see my results and hopefully push you to make a change for yourself and help you live a healthier lifestyle as well.
If you’d like to try for your self, visit Ladydork‘s website where you can purchase her eBook and get your on track a healthier and better “YOU”. If you do decide to take the challenge, share with me below your progress. I’d love to hear from you 😉
