I know this is coming a bit late as today is already Thursday, but I still wanted to report that after pushing back my 10k training week after week after week, I finally completed the first full week and I am very excited.
The first week of my 10k training went well. I am a bit rusty I know, but being able to complete the entire week is what really matters to me at this point.
I realized, we tend to make excuses upon excuses and let things get in the way, all the while letting life pass us by and not accomplishing what we set out to. It is such an easy thing to do. Unless we take control of our lives and get rid of the excuses we will never accomplish our goals. That is what I decided to do last week and thankfully I am still on track this week as well.
My immediate goal is to run a 10k. I’ve set this goal about 2 months ago. Yet, I am way behind because of everything I’ve allowed to get in my way for the past month. I feel more confident now that I am getting my mojo back that I will be able to meet my goal. I just need to take it one run at a time.
Before I end, here’s a brief recap of last week’s runs⇓
Tuesday: 2 miles
Wednesday: Rest Day
Thursday: 3 miles
Friday: Rest Day
Saturday: 2 miles with the company of my fiancé (finally had a day off together). We then went to the beach for some added fun and to celebrate my soon to be stepson’s birthday. That was a nice way to end the week.
What about you, what are you doing to get back on track? Don’t forget to share below ⇓. In the meantime:
